- built 1939 in Sweden on Polish order, caused by the World War she was not delivered.
- used until 1945 with the name "Kryssaren" in Sweden as sail training ship.
- after the war since 1946 she became a Polish sail training ship named the "General Zaruski".
- 1950 renamed in "Mloda Gwardia" (Young Guard), 1953 change of the operator.
- 1957 renamed in "Mariusz Zaruski", voyage to Narvik.
- 1958 and 1962 change of the engines.
- since 1969 used under the name "General Zaruski".
- 1975 voyage to Spitzbergen and the Polish research station Hornsund.
- 1976 another change of the engines.
- 1977 damage near Copenhagen, DK.
- 1978-1982 overhaul and change of the engines in Gdynia.
- 1982-2003 several voyages with youth and sail training.
- since 2003 moored in Jastarnia, caused by bad state of preservation she was unused.
- begin of restoration in Wladyslawowo in 2006, which had to be stopped caused by finacial reasons.
- 2008 purchased by the City of Gdansk, continuation and completion of the restoration between 2010 and 2012 by Gdansk Marine Works.
- used as ambassador of the Hanseatic city of Gdansk and for sail training.
- participation in sailing events in the Baltic Sea region, i.e. Hanse Sail Rostock 2013.
- eponym: Mariusz Zaruski (1867-1941).
