- probably built in 1873 at a shipyard in Hoogezand, NL as a Paviljoentjalk, first name maybe "Libra" or "Litra", (according other sources built 1898 in Vierverlaten, Groningen, NL and ex-names "Antje" and "Drie Gebroeders").
- relocated badly damaged at the time of WWII to Stürzelberg/Dormagen, GER on the Rhine and used as Aalschokker (fishery) without engine, laid unused in the gravel bed until 1974 after the death of the owner Balthasar Rischrath.
- acquired in 1974 by the owner G. Hartmann at a scrap price and redesigned after years of work into a recreational sailing ship, shortening of the hull to 14.9 m, renamed to "Schildkröte".
- base port is Greifswald, GER for trips on the coast and on the Baltic Sea.
