  • "Roter Sand" was put into service in April 1999, specially designed to sail the ship along the German coasts with the low and high tide of the North Sea.
  • sailed mainly with teenagers, operated by the Navigator sail training e.V., participation in sailing ship events, like the Kieler Woche.
  • 2006/07 sold to the management consultant Pelzer AP from Hamburg, GER; use for team training during the summer months based in Hamburg.
  • because the ship was refused a license as a traditional sailing vessel the owner, homeport and flag changed to Canada; EcoMaris operates her as the first environmentally-oriented training ship in Quebec.
  • renamed the "Ecomaris" in 2018.
