Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race, Sail Travemünde 2003
|
The
route of the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race 2003 led from Gdynia/Poland to Turku/Finnland and via
Riga/Latvia to the port of destination Lübeck-Travemünde/Germany. The races
in the Baltic Sea are not very long. But the wind was now and then moody and light, as in the case of the race start
to Turku, and then in turn very violent as during the race start in Riga.

The
parade of tall-ships was a highlight in Travemünde on the end of the event. One could watch
the well-known "Alexander von Humboldt", the "Nadezhda" or the "Seute Deern II" with
all sails up. And our journey aboard the "Nele" all ones involved will remember a long time.

By the way, do you know these sailing ships?
