- built in Kiel-Gaarden on behalf of emperor Wilhelm II. in 1871 and regarded as one of the oldest steel-hull ship sailing today
- initially used as a cargo sailing ship in the Baltic, owned by a German officer during the 2nd World War, from 1952 as a water tanker by the company Biomaris off the Helgoland coast
- she was saved from the scrapyard by her present owner, H. Hanse, in 1992 and converted to a seaworthy sailing vessel
- the crews are made up mostly of young people taking an active part in the work on board.
- The traditional sailing vessel takes part many regattas held in the North and Baltic Seas and has been a regular visitor to the Hanse Sail since 1991. In 1998, she will participate with approximately 25 other sailing ships in the 2nd Hiorten Regatta from Karlskrona to Rostock.
- 2021 seen in Bremen/Vegesack, GER; current use of the ship was not clear and obvious.
