  • faithful replica of the legendary fishing schooner racing boat, the "Bluenose". Similar to the America's Cup, the "International Fisherman's Trophy" was competed for by ships of this type, with the proviso that the crews must have been involved in commercial fishing at some time. All the crew members were therefore real fishermen. The IFT Regatta was held until 1938 and the "Bluenose" remained undefeated from 1921 until the end.
  • "Bluenose II" was built in 1963 for the Halifax brewery Oland & Son Ltd., after eight years in the charter trade she was sold in 1971 to the government of Nova Scotia and since then she serves as a tourist attraction besides making good-will visits abroad, operated by the "Bluenose II Preservation Trust".
  • has taken part in a large number of windjammer gatherings, such as the 1974 Canadian Windjammer Rally, the New York Operation Sail in 1976 and 1986, and Quebec in 1984.
  • she sailed to Toronto in 1992 on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Canadian Federation and the 350th anniversary of the founding of Montreal and was present at the start of the Halifax - Amsterdam race leg of Tall Ships 2000.
