- entered service as a fishing vessel in the North Sea in 1961.
- rebuilt as a sailing charter ship in 1993.
- its routes depend on the season. It mainly sails in the Baltic Sea from March to October and sails in the Mediterranean or Caribbean for the rest of the year.
- called Stortemelk after the notorious fairway between the Dutch Wadden Shallows of Vlieland and Terschelling which in the case of wind and low tide remembers the seamen to "poured milk" (Dutch: Stortemelk).
