  • built as a cargo sailing ship in 1914, first voyage to St. Petersburg where she was confiscated after the outbreak of World War I
  • between 1925-57 she carried cargo from Hamburg across the North and Baltic Seas under several names before being bought by a Scandinavian owner, reduction of the rig, fitted with an engine
  • 1929 under the name "Hanna" for Capt. W. Richter
  • 1936 under the name "Kurt Both" for Capt. M. Both, carried cement between Bremen and Helgoland for building the naval base
  • sold to Scandinavia, the two forward wooden mast replaced by one mast made of steel, 1950 the hull was lengthened, conversion to a motor vessel
  • 1957 bought by a Swedish firm, renamed "Ringö", then sold to P. Gronquist of Finland
  • returned to her home port of Hamburg in 1981 and was completely restored to her original state
  • awarded the highest class by German Lloyd, thus guaranteeing a high level of safety and comfort for her passengers
  • cruise liner in the Mediterranean, Canaries and the Caribbean in winter, in summer she has been an active part of the German sail training fleet based on Kiel, since 1987 under the flag of Antigua
  • often participates the "Kieler Woche" and "Hanse Sail" Rostock
  • 1997-98 major refit at a German boatyard
  • Thien & Heyenga were the managing owners of the vessel until 2004, they were supported by the "Freunde des Dreimastschoners Anny von Hamburg e.V."
  • since spring 2004 the association Hanse-Koggewerft became the owner and operator of the ship, registered in Hamburg, Germany.
