  • this ship is reminiscent of a 19th century combat brig but in fact is a state-of-the-art sailing ship that meets the high safety demands of this century.
  • Junior merchant, fishing fleet and Royal Navy cadets are trained aboard by the "Sea Cadet Corps" (approximately 1,000 young people are trained every year).
  • special tours with girl crews and adults.
  • organized cruises lasting some weeks around Great Britain.
  • The crew has won several races e.g. Sail Lisboa 1982, the Europa Race 1984, the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race 1986 and the 1995 Leith to Bremerhaven race.
  • last voyage in this service ended in October 2014; replacement will be a slightly larger brig with the same name, and is expected to come into service in 2015.
