- designed by Ed Burnett, built by craftsmen using traditional boatbuilding skills and working with sustainable and renewable resources at the Underfall yard, in Bristol, GBR, by John Raymond Barker and his team within a 2.5 years project.

- name "Morwenna" after a Cornish saint born in the 5th century, who lived in the cliffs near Bude at Hennacliff, which is called Morwenstow now.
