  • designed by William Fife and built by Gridiron & Marine Motor Works at Carrigaloe, Cork Harbour, IRL as ocean racing yacht for W.D.Cummis in 1898; first name was "Yum".
  • 1900 new owner became Keir.
  • 1902 sold to Frenchman André Hachette, renamed the "Griselidis", registered in Le Havre, FRA.
  • in July 1902 bought by Mac Henry.
  • in January 1907 purchased by Pierre Taconnet, sold to Georges Grus in July 1907, change of the name to "Magda" in 1908.
  • 1910 purchased by A. Raillard, renamed the "Griselidis" again.
  • 1912 sold to new owner Cailleux.
  • 1919 bought by Jaques Richepin, renamed the "Cora V".
  • 1921-1924 owned by Ganuchad.
  • 1924 sold to Le Goiff, change of the name to "Astarte".
  • 1931 change of the name to "Panurge" and 1933 to "Butterfly"; fitted with an engine in 1931.
  • 1935 purchased by the Lebec brothers, renamed "Pen Duick"; sold to Guy Tabarly in 1938.
  • 1940-45 left in Bénodet, FRA during the WWII.
  • 1952 given to the son Éric Tabarly; begin of maintainance and repair work, replacement of the complete hull construction by polyester, lengthening of the mast.
  • 1962-83 laid up, further renovation at Raymond Labbé in St. Malo, FRA for the next 6 years, renewal of the deck, relaunched in 1989.
  • since the death of Éric Tabarly in June 1998 maintained by the Assocation Éric Tabarly of Lorient, FRA.
