  • design by Peter Van Dine, built by Andy Merrill in his backyard in Annapolis, MD in a 2 years period until launched in 1972.
  • used as personell flat for the owner until 1982, later used by the son David Merrill for day charter in St. Michaels, MD for 4 years; sucessful participation in traditional boat races on the Chesapeake.
  • purchased in 1994 by the 2nd owner to be used as a coastal sail-training vessel, sucessful participation in Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Races until 1998.
  • bought by Captain Linda Meakes and Michael Meakes from Baltimore, USA in 1999; new base port became Bear Creek in Dundalk, Maryland, USA.
  • participation in several maritime festivals and celebrations, including the homecoming of the "USS Constellation", the Baltimore Preakness "Schooner Race", the "Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Bridge to Bridge race", Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race; participation in OpSail 2000 in Baltimore and New York.
  • future plans include participating in various educational programs to promote sail training and maritime traditions and history.
