  • 3rd reconstruction of a Hanseatic cog of 1380 found 1962 in the mud of the river Weser, built at the Bremer Bootsbau Vegesack shipyard as a project for long-time unemployed in 1997-2000.
  • lifted into water on May 14, 2000, she was used in Bremen on the quay Schlachte then for representation purposes, before she returned to Bremen-Vegesack in spring 2001 to be completed and equipped ready to sail.
  • "Roland von Bremen" is used as a museum ship in Bremen and is open for visitors as well as charter for private parties, she has a collapsible mast what enables her to leave the Schlachte through the bridges of Bremen.
  • 2014 due to a defect seal below the waterline at the berth at the Schlachte she sank, later lifted and within several years extensively repaired with governmental support and donations, in March 2021 lifted back into the water at the Hohentorshafen in Bremen-Mitte, two more years are planned for completion.
  • As a floating stage and stationary museum ship, the ship is supposed to show the history of the Hanseatic League, of Bremen and the medieval shipping.
