  • in the end of the 1990s the British STA decided to build two new replacement vessels for their topsail schooners "Sir Winston Churchill" and "Malcolm Miller", one of these two new brigs is the "Prince William".
  • hull was built at the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard, came to Germany (Bremen, Rostock) but before her completion as a sailing ship it was sold to Appledore and was reconstructed and rigged.
  • was built largely through a grant from the Sport England Lottery Fund, corporate and individual donations.
  • named to honour the Prince of Wales what continues a link between youth training and the Royal Family.
  • laid up at Portsmouth Dockyard and later at Hull in 2007 and put for sale.
  • sold in Sept. 2010 to the Navy of Pakistan, rename PNS "Rah Naward".
