- the building project started in 1998-99 at the shipyard Stocznia Gdanska in Poland, where a semi-manufactured hull of an abandoned building project for a cruising liner ("Gwarek") was purchased, hull was extended, after the completion of the hull it was transported to the Merwede shipyard next to Rotterdam/NL, the the ship was completed until spring of 2000
- rigging of the ship as a 5-masted fully-rigged ship, with the "Preussen" (1902-1910) as prototype
- the ship is used for luxuary holiday voyages in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, commissioned in spring of 2000, the operator and owner is the Star Clipper Cruises company
