  • built 1898 north of Falmouth/GBR by Stephen Brabyn's shipyard on a branch of the river Fal at the Calenick Creek as an oyster fishing boat for the fishermen Ernest and William Thomas Gray, they named the boat "Mildred" after their sister.
  • fished due to legal regulations under sail only, the use of engine power was and is prohibited on the oyster beds.
  • sold to another Falmouth fisherman in 1906.
  • moved to Shoreham/GBR by the owner Northeast around 1930, as a member of the Sussex Yacht Club he sailed her until about 1964, then abandoned at the harbor pier and affected by weather and vandalism.
  • acquired by Mark Lingard in 1965 and beginning of a restoration, sailed until 1971.
  • after sale in 1971 without use and deterioration of the boat, finally around 1972 grounded on a flat spot on river bank at Shoreham/GBR.
  • acquired in 1975 by Paul Fowle, who later lived on board for a while, first lifted and restored, fitted with a new rigging with a new mast.
  • 1983 sold to Nigel MacMillan in Brighton/GBR, used for day trips.
  • 1987 sold to Germany to Andreas and Peter Köpke, registration in Kiel/GER with the new name "Turf", renovation of deck, bulwark, cabin roof, gaff, jib boom, some frames and also the complete interior within 4 years, sailed trips on the Baltic and North Seas, renamed "Mildred" in 1990.
