  • today's "Madeline" has served education since the time when her building project started in 1985, launched in 1990
  • MHA maintains the ship to teach visitors about the Great Lakes history and traditional sailing craft, she is a sailtraining ship and goodwill ambassador representing Traverse City and the Grand Traverse region
