  • built as the last ship of a series of similar training ships in Gdansk in 1989, her sisters are the "Druzhba" (1987), "Mir" (1987), "Pallada" (1988), "Khersones" (1988), some smaller is the first ship of this series, the "Dar Mlodziezy" (1981).
  • sailtraining ship of the Far Eastern Maritime State University in Vladivostok.
  • in January 2003 she started a world tour calling ports like Pusan, Singapore, Colombo, Aden, passing the Suez Channel and the Mediterranean through Gibraltar up to St. Petersburg on the Baltic Sea, participated in tallship events here as well as the three-centenary of St. Peterburg, and the race Gdynia - Turku - Riga - Travemünde, in Sept. 2003 the 2nd stage started lasting the following 6 month and took her to ports like London, Santa Cruise-de-Tenerife, Rio de Janeiro, Horn Bay, Hong Kong back to Vladivostok.
  • 2007 successful participation in the International Sailing Regatta Nagasaki - Yeosu during the Tall Ship 2007 festival, 2009 participation in the 200-mile race Nagasaki - Yeosu.
  • 2009 participation in the celebrations of the 600th anniversary of the port Shendzhamen on invitation of the Chinese government.
  • 2010 participation in the Russian Day at the World Universal Exhibition Expo 2010 in Shanghai as a floating exhibition center.
  • 2011-2012 Pacific voyage dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the city of Vladivostok.
  • 2012 used as the official floating exposition center of the Russian pavilion at the EXPO 2012 in Yeosu, South Korea.
  • educational and research work has been conducted on Nadezhda in annual expeditions, i.e. in August 2010 scientific expedition to the shores of Sakhalin and the Kurils, 2011 environmental monitoring in the Sea of Japan after the Fukushima nuclear power plant reactor explosion.
